VETERAN'S RECOGNITION SUNDAY | 11/7
November 11th is the day set aside to show our appreciation for all who have served in the United States Armed Forces, past & present, and who are still with us. This Sunday morning, Nov 7th we will honor our Veterans. Take a moment to find a veteran, talk with them and thank them for their service! All Veterans and their families are invited to get a flag pin at the welcome desk.

PEAK KIDS REQUEST
We are need of items for our shoeboxes! Our Peak Kids will be packing shoeboxes next Wednesday night, so we will collecting items this week and next.
This is such a great ministry, as we send out the Gospel all over the earth!
** Below are some of the items we need.**
Stuffed animal, Comb, Hairbrush, Toothbrush, Washcloth, Blanket, Non-liquid lip balm, Adhesive bandages (colorful ones) Do not include liquid antibiotic ointment). Soccer ball (Make sure to include a manual air pump so the ball can be re-inflated.) Pencils, pens, erasers, crayons, markers, notebooks, blank index cards, scissors, ruler, Glue stick
(Do not include liquid glue) Nail clippers and file, stick deodorant.

CHURCH GROUNDS WORKDAY | 11/13
Shane Giles, Wayne Hundley, & the Grounds Committee are coordinating a church grounds workday on Saturday, November 13th, from 8:30 am until noon. Bring your yard tools (rakes, wheelbarrows, blowers, etc.) and come help clean up the fall leaves and prepare our grounds for winter. Enjoy this opportunity to serve and be outdoors! WOMEN’S MINISTRY CHRISTMAS BRUNCH | 12/4
The McConnell Women’s Ministry is planning a “Country Mountain Christmas" Brunch on December 4th at 10:00 a.m. Tickets will be available in the Welcome Center on Sunday mornings. They are $12 each and seating is limited. We also need 25 hostesses to provide a centerpiece for each table; everything else will be provided. Call/text Lorene Avery @706-994-7811 to volunteer.

FIRST STEPS/NEW MEMBERS CLASS - 12/5
If you are new to the church or want information on joining the church, please join Pastor Steve & Pastor Danny as they share information about McConnell’s vision. The class will be held on December 5th, at 11:45 a.m., in The Lodge immediately following the morning worship service. A light lunch will be served. OPERATION CHRISTMAS CHILD SHOEBOXES
Operation Christmas Child Shoeboxes are still available in the Welcome Center. Please remember to mail the $9 per shoebox to Samaritan’s Purse, using the enclosed envelope or make a donation online.  All shoeboxes must be returned to the church by Sunday, November 14th.  You can also “build a box” online at www.samaritanspurse.org.  If you choose this option, please let the church office know how many you sent so we can include in our total.
