Kingdom Prayer Focus

Father, we thank You for the sacrifice of your son and for the example that he left for us to follow.  You have given each one of us a measure of faith and the courage and wisdom to know how to use it. Help us to know which one is required to wait on You, or to walk, especially when we are facing overwhelming circumstances. Give us the confidence we need to carry out those things which You have prepared in advance for us to do. Remind us to look to You as we take that step of faith and act on what we believe. And let our faith be obvious to those around us, not just by what we say, but by what we do. We ask that You allow our faith will be a witness that leads the lost to You. Forgive us when we fail, pull us out of our complacency and stand us up on the dry ground where You are waiting for us. We ask that You teach us to know who we are following, and where You are leading. And then teach us how to wait for You, to hear Your voice, and to trust Your ways. In Jesus name, amen.

SOUPS ON - A LOVE DOES MINISTRY
A new ministry, “Soups On!” is looking to provide an opportunity to minister to anyone who would be blessed with a brief visit and a simple meal of soup and muffin. This gesture of kindness could be extended to someone recently home from the hospital; someone needing a respite from caregiving; a new neighbor as a welcome or in an outreach effort in our community. So if you like to cook, have a favorite recipe and would enjoy the fellowship of group cooking, sign up at the Welcome Desk, and watch for details for our “Cooking Up a Party” event to fill the freezer for Soups On!
