DEACON RECOMMENDATIONS
McConnell Church members - There is still time to submit your deacon recommendations. Forms are available at the Welcome Desk or, if you prefer, you can make your recommendations online. The deadline is Sunday, June 20th.

NURSERY, CHILDREN, AND YOUTH SUNDAY SCHOOL 
The nursery, children, and student classes are now back for the 9:00 am Sunday School hour! To volunteer in any of these areas, call the church office.
We especially need volunteers in our church nursery.

FIRST STEPS CLASS | 6/13
If you are new to the church or want information on joining the church, please join Pastor Danny as he shares information about McConnell’s vision. The class will be held this Sunday, June 13th, at 11:45 a.m., in The Lodge immediately following the morning worship service. A light lunch will be served. This class is a prerequisite for joining the church.  Please call the church office to register at 706-896-2281 or sign up online at mcconnellchurch.org.

LORD'S SUPPER & BENEVOLENCE OFFERING | 6/13
Prepare your hearts and join us this Sunday, June 13th for communion in person or at home. A special benevolence offering will be taken at the end of the service for Towns County residents in need.

VBS 2021: Destination Dig News
June 21-25 is VBS week at McConnell, from 9 am - 12 pm daily. The registration link is on our webpage at mcconnellchurch.org.

****Here's another way you can serve! Our Snack leaders need 13 dozen un-iced cupcakes on Sunday, June 20th. Please call Sheila Crawford if you would like to help (706) 897-9727.

***Attention all VBS volunteers: please join Pastor Steve in the Peak Kids' room directly after the service on Sunday, June 13 for a brief meeting. Childcare will be provided in the PEAK Jr. room.

McConnell 4^th Family Fun Fair | 7/4
Come join us on the 4^th of July for our 4^th Family Fun Fair from 3:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. in the FLC and outdoors. There will be games, entertainment, and activities for all ages. Dinner will be provided by McConnell. Bring your best dessert for our judges to decide 1^st, 2^nd, and 3^rd place winners. If you would like to volunteer, we need help in the following areas: food/kitchen, recreation/activities, entertainment, traffic flow/guest services, dessert contest, setup/cleanup. HOPE ROOM CLOTHES CLOSET NEWS
The Hope Room is open to the public on Thursdays from 1 - 3 pm.  If you are interested in volunteering in this ministry, please contact the church office.  If you would like to donate clothing, donations are accepted on Tuesdays & Thursdays, between 1 & 3 pm.  The need at this time is for children’s clothing.  Beginning in September, donations of fall/winter clothing, including coats & jackets, will be accepted.
