McConnell Church members - There is still time to submit your deacon recommendations. Forms are available at the Welcome Desk or, if you prefer, you can make your recommendations online. The deadline is Sunday, June 20th.

The nursery, children, and student classes are now back for the 9:00 am Sunday School hour! To volunteer in any of these areas, call the church office.
We especially need volunteers in our church nursery.

If you are new to the church or want information on joining the church, please join Pastor Danny as he shares information about McConnell’s vision. The class will be held this Sunday, June 13th, at 11:45 a.m., in The Lodge immediately following the morning worship service. A light lunch will be served. This class is a prerequisite for joining the church.  Please call the church office to register at 706-896-2281 or sign up online at mcconnellchurch.org.

Prepare your hearts and join us this Sunday, June 13th for communion in person or at home. A special benevolence offering will be taken at the end of the service for Towns County residents in need.

Kingdom Prayer Focus

Lord God, we thank you for showing us what love is. We have benefitted from our love relationship with you as we strive to pursue your love continually. We desire a love relationship with you, yet there are times when we falter. Our Christian walk has form and structure and looks good on the outside, but the inside is dead.  We find our faith is not as strong as it was and it feels like we lost our first love. Father, we cry out to you for mercy as we remember from where we have fallen, and we repent of those things that drove us to forget! We ask you for the fervent passionate love of Jesus to come back and permeate our hearts. We also ask that you help us to demonstrate that love with our Christian brothers so the lost and dying world will be drawn to you. As we take up the mind of Christ, we remember you, our first love. In Jesus name, amen.
