Attention Parents! AWANA CLUB meetings resume Aug. 16th in the FLC from 3:15 to 5:15 pm on Mondays. Please consider enrolling your K-8th grade children. They will be picked up at TCES after school and brought to the MMBC, or you can drop them off yourself. This will be an action packed 2 hours! Your child will memorize scripture, have a short devotional, and participate in exciting games. A light snack will be provided. Registration forms are available in the church office and at the TCES office. For any questions call Tom Wade at 478-285-0031 or the church office. Hope to see y'all on August 16th!

The Wednesday night meal teams coordinator is looking for 5-6 volunteers to spend a couple of hours to prep & serve our children and their families during Wednesday night meals, for one Wednesday each month. This would provide them with a regularly rotating team & an additional back up if a main team is sick or out of town.  Call the church office to sign up 706-896-2281.

Any moms from the community with 12th grade children and under are welcome to join us at any time during the year. Each meeting looks a little different but all include dinner, fellowship and a time for sharing on issues relevant to moms and families today. They meet on the third Tuesday of each month during the school year, 6:00 - 7:30 pm, in The Lodge, starting August 17th.
Opportunities to serve with Thrive: Have you been blessed with a few extra minutes and a desire to serve our community? Please consider pouring some of your time into our Thrive ministry! For more information please contact Calah Pearson (706) 599-9144 or email [email protected]

Church Members - There will be a called church conference & annual corporate meeting immediately following the morning worship service on Sunday, August 22nd for the purpose of voting to approve the Servants in Ministry, Corporate Officers & Deacons for the coming year.

Kingdom Prayer Focus

Father, we thank You that You desire a relationship with us, and that You have put within us a desire for relationship You and with fellow believers. We were not meant for separation from You, Your word, or Your people. You have given us instruction through Your word on how to combat the enemy, so we ask that You give us the wisdom to use the armor of protection. Open our eyes to see the spiritual warfare around us and allow us to see the army that is FOR us. Remind us each day to look to You for the wisdom we need and to not be distracted by the constant barrage of worldly wisdom that is coming at us from every direction. For we know that Your wisdom is pure and gentle, full of mercy and grace, without partiality and without hypocrisy. Mold us and shape us all to be more like Your son Jesus. Show us how to combat this invisible enemy in a way that brings us back together, back to You, and back to Your word. And it is in His holy name we ask this, amen.
