Dear friends, since God so loved us, we also ought to love one another. No one has ever seen God; but if we love one another, God lives in us and his love is made complete in us. 1 John 4: 11-12

Kingdom Prayer Focus

Father, You are a covenant making God, and we are thankful that You have designed us to be a covenant community. Thank You for the reminder that we must no longer live for ourselves, but for Your Son, who lives in us. So convict us when we threaten that community by making an idol of our self. Guide our decisions so they are a reflection of You, and not of our own self-interests. Remind us that our true community is in our love-relationship with You and the love we have for our neighbor. Help us to be united in our love for You, and to fight for one another, so the victory will be Yours. And teach us to work together, because none of us will truly find rest, until we are all at rest. For our mission is to help people find and follow You. Only then can we settle into that peace & security we have been striving for. And then we will know that we are truly at home. We give You the glory and honor, in Jesus name, amen.
