Which Son Are You?

What does it really mean to belong? In this message drawn from Luke 15, we take a closer look at a character in the parable of the prodigal son who often gets overlooked: the older brother. While the younger son's story of rebellion and return is dramatic and moving, the older son's story hits closer to home for many of us. He never left. He worked hard. He did everything right. And yet something was deeply missing. The older son had proximity to the father without relationship with the father, and Jesus uses this tension to ask us a penetrating question: is our faith a matter of religion or genuine relationship?
