Austin obtained a business degree in 2018 from Young Harris College, where he met his wife, Taylor. Austin completed his M-Div. with an emphasis in Pastor Care & Counseling at Gardner Webb University in North Carolina. While in seminary, Austin worked part-time with WinShape Camps & as a Hospital Chaplain. Austin & Taylor served a church for 4 years in Chattanooga before returning to McConnell as the Connections & Care Pastor in 2025.
Austin is called to help people become aware of the beauty & reality of God in their everyday life. Austin & Taylor lead their family by the driving mission that they exist to glorify God & enjoy Him forever! Austin also enjoys joining Taylor in her ministry with WinShape Marriage, where they invest in couples & help equip local churches to develop marriage discipleship resources. In their off time, you can find Austin & Taylor mountain biking, hiking, paddle boarding, or exploring the great outdoors alongside their son, Beck.
