MISSION GEORGIA OFFERING | September
Over 13,000 children are in foster care in Georgia. So far in 2021 alone, over 417 human trafficking cases have been reported in Georgia, some likely in your county. These numbers are your neighbors. In response, Mission Georgia seeks to provide gospel-centered care to every Georgia community through the local church. We are invited to be part of the solution as well. We will continue to accept donations through the end of September for this worthy cause. Look for the envelopes in the pew pockets or designate Mission Georgia in your online giving. Our 2021 Offering Goal is $10,000.
MEN’S MINISTRY GROUP | 9/26
Men of all ages are invited to come to our McConnell Men’s ministry next Sunday night at 6:00 p.m., in the Lodge. Dinner will be provided. We will be watching The Chosen and then have group discussion afterward. This is a great outreach event, so invite someone to come with you!
LORD’S SUPPER & BENEVOLENCE OFFERING | 10/3
The Lord’s Supper will be observed in the morning worship service, next Sunday, Oct 3rd. After the service we will collect a special one-time offering for Disaster Relief.
ESL (ENGLISH AS A SECOND LANGUAGE) | 10/7
The ESL Ministry Team is excited to resume English as a Second Language (ESL) classes on Thursday, October 7th at 7 pm in the Family Life Center. The students who attend are eager to learn English! Volunteers in this ministry do not need to speak a foreign language or be professional teachers. If you speak English and love Jesus, we can teach you the rest! If you’d like to volunteer to help or just want to find out more about this ministry, please contact Mary Dolvin, phone 828-389-9451.
FIRST STEPS/NEW MEMBERS CLASS | 10/10
If you are new to the church or want information on joining the church, please join Pastor Steve & Pastor Danny as they share information about McConnell’s vision. The class will be held on February 14th, at 11:45 a.m., in The Lodge immediately following the morning worship service. A light lunch will be served. This class is a prerequisite for joining the church. Please call the church office to register at 706-896-2281.
MEN'S MINISTRY OUTING | 10/10

Kingdom Prayer Focus
Father, thank you for hardwiring freedom into our souls, and for helping us to recognize that true freedom comes only from knowing you. We know in our heart of hearts that Jesus came to set us free, so we ask your forgiveness because many of us live like we are in bondage! We believe the lies of the enemy and repeat the lies so often that we find ourselves believing the lies to be truth. Remind us that Satan is the father of lies and that his plan is to destroy us. We give you praise that you sent your son to destroy the works of the devil and that you have provided us a way out. Help us to come to our senses so we can escape the devil’s trap. Give us the courage we need! In Jesus name, amen.
