Operation Christmas Child Shoeboxes
Shoeboxes are still available in the Welcome Center area for you to take and fill for that very special child who will receive your gifts. Filled shoeboxes must be returned to the church by Sunday, November 13th so they can begin their journey! Build a Shoebox online at https://www.samaritanspurse.org/operation-christmas-child/buildonline/. In addition, McConnell Church will also serve as a regional drop off center for Samaritan’s Purse from November 14th through November 21st.  If you would like to serve in this ministry, contact Cheryl Peebles at [email protected] or call the church office at 706-896-2281.

LORD’S SUPPER & SPECIAL OFFERING | 10/23
The Lord’s Supper will be observed in next Sunday morning’s worship service. A special offering will be taken at the end of the service for Disaster Relief.

MEN’s MINISTRY | 10/23
Men of all ages are invited to come to our McConnell Men’s ministry on Sunday, October 23rd at 6:00 p.m. in the Lodge  Facilitated by Pastor Steve Awtrey, this group meets monthly in the Lodge with dinner provided. This is a great outreach event, so invite someone to come with you!

QUARTERLY CHURCH CONFERENCE | 10/26
The Quarterly Church Conference will be Wednesday, 10/26, at 6:00 pm in the Worship Center before the bible study. The Quarterly Financial Reports will be available at the Welcome Desk.

Acorn Tree | 10/30
The Fall crop of Little Acorns will be ready for harvest from our Oak Tree in the foyer on Sunday, October 30th! This is your opportunity to select a new child (an Acorn) in our church and commit to pray for that child throughout the year! Lord, May our Little Acorns become Mighty Oaks for You!

Candy at the fairgrounds 10/31
We are accepting donations of individually wrapped candy thru Oct 30th.  Look for the bins located in the FLC, Drive-thru Portico Lobby and the Office Lobby. The Candy at the Fairgrounds community outreach is on Monday, 10/31 from 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm. Pastor Steve Awtrey and his Children’s Team will be at booth #27. Stop by and say hello!

CHURCH GROUNDS WORKDAY | 11/5
The  Grounds Committee is coordinating a church grounds workday for Saturday, Nov. 5th, at 8:30 am. We’ll meet for coffee at the covered drive-thru. Bring a 5 Gallon Bucket, rakes, wheelbarrows, blowers, etc. Enjoy this opportunity to serve outdoors!

WOMEN’S MINISTRY CHRISTMAS BRUNCH | 12/3
The McConnell Women’s Ministry is planning a “Christmas Through the Eyes of a Child" Brunch on Saturday, December 3rd at 11:00 a.m. Tickets will be available beginning October 30th in the Drive Thru Portico Lobby on Sunday mornings after the Worship Service. They are $15 each and seating is limited. We also need 36 hostesses to provide a centerpiece for each table; everything else will be provided.
