A CALL TO COMMITMENT As a Christian, I am committed to becoming a fully engaged follower of Jesus Christ. Like the apostle Paul, I have not yet arrived, I commit myself to be on the journey by: 1. Inviting others to an intimate relationship with God— Evangelism: Reaching out to the lost and unchurched friends by praying, giving a verbal witness, and inviting them to become involved in a local church. 2. Connecting in healthy relationships with other Christians— Fellowship. I commit myself to attend weekly worship services and to become active in a Life Group. 3. Working toward an authentic commitment to God— Discipleship. I will submit to the Bible as the sole authority in every area of my life. 4. Involving myself in life-changing ministry and mission in our community and around the world— Ministry. I will faithfully give of my time, talents, and tithes to support the work of the church both in Towns County and around the world. 5. Honor God completely with my whole life— worship. Both corporately in a large gathering and privately alone with God. MISSION TRIP COVENANT I understand that by participating in this mission trip, I am representing both McConnell Baptist Church and Noon Day Ministries in everything that I do. I will abide by the following guidelines: • I will exhibit a positive “whatever it takes” attitude. • I will attend all mission training sessions and complete assignments as required by the team leaders. • I will stay with the group at all times and will not go anywhere alone. • I will abstain from alcohol or the use of tobacco while on the trip. • I will be financially responsible for all trip costs except what has been raised through donations. I will participate in any and all fundraising efforts. I hereby agree to the Mission Trip Covenant and understand that failure to follow it can result in being sent home at my own expense.
