Happy Mother's Day!

Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. 1 Corinthians 13:4-5

Kingdom Prayer Focus

Father, You are a covenant making God, and we are thankful that You have designed us to be a covenant community. Thank You for the reminder that we must no longer live for ourselves, but for Your Son, who lives in us. So convict us when we threaten that community by making an idol of our self. Guide our decisions so they are a reflection of You, and not of our own self-interests. Remind us that our true community is in our love-relationship with You and the love we have for our neighbor. Help us to be united in our love for You, and to fight for one another, so the victory will be Yours. And teach us to work together, because none of us will truly find rest until we are all at rest for our mission is to help people find and follow You. Only then can we settle into that peace & security we have been striving for. And then we will know that we are truly at home. We give You the glory and honor, in Jesus name, amen.

McConnell Church members - It’s time to begin prayerfully considering your recommendations for the office of deacon for the coming year. Our deacons serve for terms of three years after having been nominated and elected by the church. Nominees must be a McConnell church member for at least one year and meet the biblical requirements for serving. Beginning Sunday, May 15th, paper recommendation forms will be available in the Welcome Center or, if you prefer, you can make your recommendations online on the church website. The deadline to make a recommendation is Sunday, June 19th.

Help us be prepared & successful by pre-registering your kids online at www.mcconnellchurch.org or in the Children’s Department beginning Monday, May 16th. PARENT CHILD DEDICATION 5/22 or 6/19
Parent Child Dedication is a public commitment you make before God, your church, and your family. The dedication service provides you, the parent(s), an opportunity to express publicly your desire to lead and spiritually nurture your child in partnership with the church, so your child will develop a desire to love and serve God. With the pandemic, we have missed having this dedication so we have scheduled two opportunities: Sunday, May 22nd or Sunday, June 19th. Please contact the church office to schedule or click here to register online.
