GraceWorks Ministry Info
GraceWorks is a service to people in the community and our church family who need home repairs they can’t afford or can’t do themselves. Volunteers provide light carpentry, rubbish clean-up, and other “odds and ends” and “handyman” work in order to create a safe living environment. Typical recipients are low-income senior citizens who no longer have the ability, physically or financially, to care for their residences. How can you get involved? Send an email expressing your interest to David Elliott at [email protected]  and we will provide a skills assessment form for you to fill out.  If you know someone who needs help, please contact the church office at 706-896-2281 and they will forward the information.

Kingdom Prayer Focus

Father, how do we begin to thank you for the spirit of love you have gifted us with? You have shown us what love looks like, and you cover us with that love, even when we are unaware. Show us how to fight for that love each morning, then change how we think to help us fight well and effectively throughout the day. Then let us hold up the mirror to our own heart and examine ourselves and how we love others. Show us how to balance our pursuit of love and our fight for the faith. Lord, forgive us when our expectations of others is self-seeking! Give us the same heart of servanthood that Jesus showed his disciples and teach us that true love is sacrificial, not proud. For when we pursue Jesus, we will see what your true love does, and we will know true love will be made complete in us. We look to you as the author and finisher of our faith, in Jesus’ name, amen.
