He has saved us and called us to a holy life—not because of anything we have done but because of his own purpose and grace. This grace was given us in Christ Jesus before the beginning of time, 2 Tim 1:9

Kingdom Prayer Focus

Lord, we lift our praises up to You because You are good.  You pass down blessings to us and Your status determines our status. We are thankful that Jesus set the example for us when he called You Father. Teach our earthly fathers to be the example and pass that along to us, for to know who You are, reveals who we are. We all have imperfect earthly fathers, so we thank You for filling in that void for each of us, whatever it may be. And just like Jesus said he could do nothing by himself, neither can we. So, help us to see that we need You to guide us in all that we say and do. Teach us to be keenly aware of what You are doing and to imitate You. We ask that You touch us and confirm who we are in You. Open our hearts to an intimate relationship that gives us the freedom to call You Abba, Papa, Daddy. And then let us be adventurously expectant as we encounter the path You set before us. In the name of Jesus, amen.
