Kingdom Prayer Focus

Lord, we are thankful that in Christ, you have given us everything we need to stand against the schemes of the devil. Yet, there are still times when we find ourselves allowing the enemy in to our homes through distractions and seductions. Then we blame the ones we love the most for the “attack”. Remind us that our enemy prowls around looking for someone to devour, and that he never announces his intention to attack….he is always in attack mode and knows where we are vulnerable! You tell us that we are stronger together, so remind us that if we want something different, we have to DO something different. Praise you Lord for always providing a way out of every temptation! May we always look to you first in the holy name of Jesus, amen.

Funeral for Bill Rahn
Visitation for Bill Rahn will be on Monday, March 7th from 12:00 p.m. - 2:00 p.m. at McConnell in the Worship Center. Funeral is at 2:00 p.m. with graveside following.

RAY NICHOLSON SCHOLARSHIP
The Ray Nicholson Scholarship was established in 1975 in memory of Ray Nicholson, to benefit graduating seniors from Towns, Union, & Clay Counties. Ray was a longtime resident and educator of Towns County and a loyal church member. Donations to this scholarship fund may be made at any time by designating “Ray Nicholson Scholarship” on your check or online donation.
Beginning in March, applications for the Scholarship will be available in the Church Office, Monday through Thursday, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Fridays 9 a.m. to noon. Applications must be completed & submitted by April 11th at noon to be considered.

AWANA NEWS
Our Awana program at McConnell has grown by leaps and bounds and we have a record number of kids showing up! We are in need of volunteers who are willing to commit Mondays throughout the school year to help us minister to these children with God’s Word. Call Tom Wade for more info at 478-285-0031.

BAPTISM SUNDAY | 3/6
We will have baptism on Sunday morning, March 6th. Come and celebrate what God has done to bring these individuals into His family, and through that, into this church family!

MCCONNELL PRESCHOOL REGISTRATION | 3/7
Preschool registration for the 2022/23 school year will begin on Monday, 3/7 thru 3/18 at 8:00 a.m. daily, for church members and current enrollees.
Registration will be open to the public beginning Monday, 3/21 thru 4/1, at 8:30 a.m. daily. Call Emily Winn, Preschool Director for more info at 706-896-2281.

ANNIE ARMSTRONG
The Annie Armstrong Week of Prayer is March 6th thru March 13th. Prayer guides are available at the Welcome Desk. Your prayers and gifts to the Annie Armstrong Easter Offering® provide support for more than 5,000 missionaries. Special Annie Armstrong offering envelopes will be available in the pew pockets starting March 13th. Or, you can designate your online donation in the memo line of your check.
