Kingdom Prayer Focus

Lord Jesus, you are the bridegroom and we are your bride. We love that you use the language from the marriage covenant to show that you chose us! We are thankful that you have guidelines and expectations of how we are to keep the covenant we made with you, and with each other. We are also thankful that despite our failures, you chose us, even though you knew our dark side before we were born. Open our eyes to see where we fail, open our hearts to forgive one another, and to remember that marriage matters to You. Remind us that our marriage covenant is based on mutual commitment motivated by sacrificial love. And that commitment is a daily decision based on a life-time commitment! Help us to see that our marriage is simply a reflection of our attitude and our view of You. Only then can we reflect that sacrificial love to each other in the same way you demonstrated your love for us by carrying it to the cross. In your Holy name, amen.
