But the wisdom that comes from heaven is first of all pure; then peace-loving, considerate, submissive, full of mercy and good fruit, impartial and sincere. Peacemakers who sow in peace reap a harvest of righteousness. James 3: 17-18

Kingdom Prayer Focus

Abba Father, we thank you for loving us so much, that you adopted us as your own children and welcomed us into your family. You extend the offer of a life-giving relationship with you and love us sacrificially. Lord, teach us to turn around and be that same welcoming presence to those we do not know, who enter our church looking for you. Show us how to love them like you love us. Give us eyes to see, ears to hear, and a heart that is overflowing with that same sacrificial love of Jesus! Help us to act like spiritual siblings and let the people see us as a shining light in our community. May we demonstrate how the whole building is joined together by you, brick by brick, as it rises to become the holy temple that you want it to be. Transform us through your Holy Spirit in the name of Jesus, amen.

Come join us on Sunday afternoon, July 3rd for our 4th Family Fun Fair from 3:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. in the FLC and outdoors. There will be games, entertainment, inflatables, and activities for all ages. Dinner will be provided by McConnell. Bring your best dessert to share with others. If you would like to volunteer, we need help in the following areas: food/kitchen, recreation/activities, entertainment, traffic flow, guest services, and cleanup.  If you would like to help come to the Volunteer Station at the FLC and see where we can place you.

Love people? The McConnell Greeters Team is looking for volunteers to serve before Sunday services ( SS and Worship)  for the entire month once a year to welcome both members and guests . If you love to smile and say hello, then this is a great opportunity for you to get to know our church congregation! Contact Lorene Avery at 706-994-7811 or email [email protected].

Our library staff wants everyone to know that we have books for all ages. We have cook books, biographies, research, spiritual growth, book studies, as well as fiction. There is a children’s section full of Christian books. Bring your families on Wednesday from 10 a.m. to noon. Come and check us out on Sundays and Wednesdays before and after services as well.

The church office will be closed on Monday, July 4th, in observance of Independence Day.
