NURSERY, CHILDREN, AND YOUTH SUNDAY SCHOOLS RETURN | 6/6
Starting this Sunday morning, June 6th; the nursery, children, and student classes come back for the 9:00 am Sunday School hour! To volunteer in any of these areas, call the church office. We especially need volunteers in our church nursery.

DEACON RECOMMENDATIONS
McConnell Church members - it’s time to submit your recommendations for the office of deacons for the coming year. Our deacons serve for terms of three years after having been nominated and elected by the church. Nominees must be a McConnell church member for at least one year and meet the biblical requirements for serving. Paper recommendation forms are available at the Welcome Desk or, if you prefer, you can make your recommendations online. The deadline to make your recommendation is Sunday, June 20th.

VBS 2021: Destination Dig
June 21-25 is VBS week at McConnell, from 9 am - 12 pm daily. The registration link is on our webpage at mcconnellchurch.org. 
SNACKS REQUEST
Here's another way you can serve with VBS! Our Snacks Leader needs bakers and/or specific food donations to help with our daily snacks for the children. Please call Sheila Crawford for more information at: 706-897-9727.

MCCONNELL 4TH FAMILY FUN FAIR
Come join us on the 4th of July for our 4th Family Fun Fair from 3:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. in the FLC and outdoors. There will be games, entertainment, and activities for all ages. Dinner will be provided by McConnell. Bring your best dessert for our judges to decide 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners. If you would like to volunteer, we need help in the following areas: food/kitchen, recreation/activities, entertainment, traffic flow/guest services, dessert contest, setup/cleanup. HOPE ROOM CLOTHES CLOSET NEWS
The Hope Room is open to the public on Thursdays from 1 - 3 pm. If you are interested in volunteering in this ministry, please contact the church office. If you would like to donate clothing, donations are accepted on Tuesdays & Thursdays, between 1 & 3 pm. The need at this time is for children’s clothing. Beginning in September, donations of fall/winter clothing, including coats & jackets, will be accepted.

FIRST STEPS CLASS | 6/13
If you are new to the church or want information on joining the church, please join Pastor Danny as he shares information about McConnell’s vision. The class will be held on June 13th, at 11:45 a.m., in The Lodge immediately following the morning worship service. A light lunch will be served. LORD’S SUPPER & BENEVOLENCE OFFERING | 6/13
Prepare your hearts and join us on Sunday, June 13th for communion in person or at home. A special benevolence offering will be taken at the end of the service for Towns County residents in need.
