FIRST STEPS/NEW MEMBERS CLASS - 8/8
If you are new to the church or want information on joining the church, please join Pastor Danny as he shares information about McConnell’s vision. The class will be held on August 8th, at 11:45 a.m., in The Lodge immediately following the morning worship service. A light lunch will be served. This class is a prerequisite for joining the church. YHC Ministry - Laundry pod collection
Young Harris College is back in session on August 16th. One of the things that the students have enjoyed each year, is the gift of HE laundry pods from their friends at McConnell! If you would like to donate laundry pods, look for the laundry basket donation bins in the drive thru lobby, the welcome desk area and in the church office thru August 8th.

WEEKDAY PRESCHOOL OPEN HOUSE | 8/9 & 8/10
Our Weekday Preschool begins the 2021-2022 school year on August 12th. There will be an Open House on Monday, August 9th for 4-year-olds, from 9 -10:30 am and 3-year-olds, from 10:30 am - 12 pm. Also on Tuesday August 10th, for 2-year-olds from, 9:00 am -11 am. Drop in anytime during the hours listed.
Awana Clubs News | 8/16
Attention Parents! AWANA CLUB meetings resume Aug. 16th in the FLC from 3:15 to 5:15 pm on Mondays. Please consider enrolling your K-8th grade children. They will be picked up at TCES after school and brought to the MMBC, or you can drop them off yourself. This will be an action packed 2 hours! Your child will memorize scripture, have a short devotional, and participate in exciting games. A light snack will be provided. Registration forms are available in the church office and at the TCES office. For any questions call Tom Wade 478-285-0031 or the church office. Hope to see y'all on August 16th!
Kingdom Prayer Focus
Lord, we thank you for instilling in us the desire to be the dream-team for You. Keep us ever mindful of the 7 ways to accomplish being part of a dream team: 1. Help us to be a good son/daughter who is dependable. 2. Give us the strength to be like a soldier who endures spiritual warfare. 3. Teach us to be like an athlete who has discipline and doesn’t take shortcuts. 4. Guide us in times of spiritual dryness like a farmer who perseveres in a drought. 5. Provoke us to be diligent like a craftsman as we study your work. 6. May we be a vessel that is clean and holy. 7. Finally, give us a servant’s heart. We know that we all fall short of these qualities. We are appalled at the thought of looking like the “nightmare” team to you Lord, so convict us, change us, and grow us into the loving, welcoming, and generous church that you want us to be. All glory to you in Jesus’ name, amen.
