Kingdom Prayer Focus

Lord, thank You for all that you've allowed into our lives this past year, even the hard things which have reminded us how much we need You. We pray for Your Spirit to lead us each step of this New Year as we rely on Your presence every single day. We ask that You guide our decisions and turn our hearts to desire You above all else. Please open doors that need to be opened and close the ones that need to be shut tight. We ask for help to pursue You first, above every dream and desire You’ve put within our hearts. We ask for Your wisdom, for Your strength and power to be constantly present within us. We pray You would make us strong and courageous for the road ahead. Give us discernment and insight to understand Your will, hear Your voice, and know Your ways. In Jesus Name, Amen

New Ministry—Soup’s On Luncheon | 1/17
Soup’s On is a new ministry in our church, facilitated by Linda Herreid.  It is designed to minister to anyone who would be blessed with a brief visit and a simple meal of soup & muffin.  This gesture of kindness can be extended to those just home from the hospital, a caregiver needing a bit of respite, or as community outreach with a new neighbor.  If this ministry sounds like a good fit for you, plan to join Linda for the kickoff soup & salad luncheon on Tuesday, January 17th, 11:00 am, in the Family Life Center.

The church offices will be closed on Thursday, January 19th for an in-service workday. The Hope Room will be open and keep normal hours from 1:00—3:00 p.m.

The Connect Team would like to invite all the attendees and/or members, who participated in the First Steps classes in 2022, to join us for a “Welcome to McConnell” lunch on January 29th, in the Family Life Center, immediately after the worship service.  We would like to learn more about you and your families, and understand how we may better connect with and serve those who are new to our church family. Please email Linda Robinson at [email protected] or call the church office with your name and number of family members attending.  For planning purposes, please reply by January 20, 2023.

GriefShare is a friendly, caring group of people who will walk alongside you through one of life’s most difficult experiences. If you need more information, please contact the church office.
