Kingdom Prayer Focus

Lord, we offer our thanks for leaving us a legacy of men who were faithful and who served you well. You told us their life stories and you didn’t omit the details of their times in the valleys that led them through many trials. You showed us how you guided them through the darkness and then blessed them despite themselves. Father, we thank you for the riches, the blessings, and the trials you have also shown us! Thank you for guiding us to choose life over death, that we may be a witness to all those we encounter. Show us how to reach back and guide our children and others to do the same. Forgive us when we become complacent and think we have finished the race. Give us the determination of an overcomer and keep us running toward the finish line….not toward a physical prize, but toward You! In Jesus name, amen.

2022/2023 Financial News

Offering Envelopes are now available in the Welcome area or you may come by the church to pick them up. Hours are: Mon -Thurs, 8 - 4 pm or Fri, 9-noon. If you don’t see a box with your name on it, there will be a sheet near the table to sign-up.
To save on print and mailing costs, you will receive your 2022 statement by email, if you have an address on file with the church office. For those with no email, your statement will be sent to the U.S. Postal address that we have on file. To update your email address, call the church office.
Quarterly Financial Reports will be available on Sunday, 1/29 at the Welcome Desk.
Quarterly Church Conference will be Wednesday, 2/1 at 6:00 pm, in the Worship Center before Wednesday in the Word.

MEN’S MINISTRY | 1/22
Men of all ages are invited to come to our McConnell Men’s ministry next Sunday night at 6:00 p.m. in the Lodge Facilitated by Pastor Steve Awtrey, this group meets monthly in the Lodge with dinner provided. This is a great outreach event, so invite someone to come with you!

NEW 13-WEEK GRIEFSHARE SESSION BEGINS | 1/26
GriefShare is a friendly, caring group of people who will walk alongside you through one of life’s most difficult experiences. You don’t have to go through the grieving process alone. The next 13-week session of GriefShare will begin on Thursday, January 26th, from 10:00 am - 12 noon, in room #219-FLC. If you need more information, please contact the church office.

FAMILY WORSHIP SUNDAY | 1/29
Every 5th Sunday (once a quarter) our Peak Worship kids celebrate with the adults in the Worship Service and sing for us. PEAK Kids (1st - 5th grade) will stay with their families for church. PEAK Kids Jr. (Kinder & Pre-K) will sing with the Elementary Kids, and then be ushered back to the Children’s Dept.

FIRST STEPS/NEW MEMBERS CLASS | 2/12
If you are new to the church or want information on joining the church, please join Pastor Steve & Pastor Danny as they share information about McConnell’s vision. The class will be held on Feb 12th, at 11:45 a.m., in The Lodge immediately following the morning worship service. A light lunch will be served. This class is a prerequisite for joining the church. Register online or call the church office to register at 706-896-2281.

ARE YOU READY TO GROW & BE CHALLENGED?
Join us in a new ladies’ Bible study at the church beginning Wednesday, Feb 15th—May 17th from 9:45-11:45. This is a study of the Spiritual Disciplines with Richard Foster. You will need to order your own books ASAP so you can be prepared for the first class. SOUPS ON! MINISTRY NEWS
The Soups on! Ministry is happy to provide a blessing basket to anyone in our community. Please come and take one and share a blessing. There are beautiful Scripture cards to write a note or visit with them, and share what the Lord has done in your life. If you need someone to deliver for you, call or text Linda Herreid at (770) 598-5259 or just call the church office. Be aware and pray for the Lord to guide us to those who need His touch.
