Kingdom Prayer Focus

Father, we thank You for instilling in us a desire for authentic community. We strive to love others like Jesus, even though we know that it will cost us something. Forgive us when we think some don’t deserve your love and when we are slothful in our zeal. There are times when we fail to do what needs to be done and we miss the opportunity to show others your glory. Selfish and sinful motives eventually produce selfish and sinful behavior. Help us to be fervent in spirit as we serve you. We want to be devoted to one another in brother love and to honor one another above ourselves. We long to hear “Good work! You did your job well. From now on be my partner” from you! What a blessing to be your partner, to have spiritual fervor, and to serve You wholeheartedly through Jesus Christ. In his holy name, amen.

Ladies—come join us in exploring how 1st century Jesus came down in the middle of the ruins of this world & put His Hands all over them to restore us.  We will be meeting on Thursdays 9:45-11:45 from Sept 15-Nov 3rd in the FLC to discover Jesus & Women. Deadline to sign up is Aug 28. Contact Phyllis Miller [email protected] or 706-994-2800 to join and order a book.

AWANA NEWS for 8/27 & 8/29
There will be an Awana leaders’ meeting on 8/27. It will be held in the FLC from 10:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. Lunch provided.

On Monday, August 29th, the Awana Leaders will host a Parent Dinner & Bible distribution following the weekly club meeting. Volunteers are needed in this growing ministry to the children of our community. If you would like to volunteer, contact Tom Wade, Awana Commander, at [email protected] or call him at 478-285-0031.

There will be a special Deacon Ordination service next Sunday, August 28th, at 6:00pm in the sanctuary. Our men’s ministry will be attending this service in lieu of their monthly meeting. Mark your calendars to come out and support them!

Donations will be accepted during the month of September for this worthy cause. Look for the envelopes in the pew pockets or designate Mission Georgia in your online giving. Our 2022 Offering Goal is $15,000.
