Please join Judy Naylor & her family as they celebrate Wayne’s life on Saturday, April 24th at 1:00 pm in the Worship Center. The family will receive guests in the Family Life Center after the service. There will be a separate service the following day (Sunday, 4/25, at 2 pm) in Norcross at One Heart Church (706 North Peachtree Street).

This month our men’s ministry will be taking a trip to Top Golf in Alpharetta, for fun, food and fellowship. We will meet at the church on Sunday, April 25th @ 4pm. You can ride the cool looking church van or carpool together, whichever works best for you. ***The cost will depend on how many men go. You reserve a bay, which can hold up to 6 guys. One bay for one hour is around $50.*** Please call Pastor Steve Awtrey to let him know if you will be attending at 205-567-7729.

Women on Mission and the Nannie Rose Tatham/WMU group invites anyone with sewing skills to join us on the last Tuesday of each month at Brasstown Manor Senior Living. We mend/repair clothing, linens, and whatever needs a stitch or two to be “good as new” or “fit just right”. If you would like to be part of this ministry, come join us at the Manor on April 27th at 9:30 a.m.

For McConnell Church Members: a member of our cemetery team, Dianne Nelson, is available to answer questions and take reservations for the cemetery or the new columbarium. If you are interested, contact Dianne at 706-896-7736 to schedule an appointment or call the church office at 706-896-2281.

We have our VBS dates for 2021! June 21-25 we will have VBS in person at McConnell from 9am - 12 pm daily. Registration will begin mid-May. If you would like to volunteer, please contact Pastor Steve Awtrey at the church office 706-896-2281.

Kingdom Prayer Focus

Father, we thank you for the agape love that you have for us. We rely on that love to give us the strength that we need for today and the hope we need for tomorrow. Forgive us when we forget that you are all we need, and we only view our relationship with you through the lens of brotherly love. Oh, teach us Lord, to agape love you! Give us the confidence in knowing that you will never drive us away or cast us out. As you patiently wait for us to return, You welcome us with love and open arms, and then you tell us to follow you. Lord, remind us why we are your followers. Show us how to be the source of love to all of those who don’t know you. Teach us in those moments the reason we have decided to follow you, for you are the source of life, and our all in all! In Jesus’ holy name, amen.
